    Product Overview

    The Drive Pulley (Head Pulley) is the main component for transmitting power from the motor to the conveyor belt. Given the immense torque it handles, structural integrity is paramount. Our drive pulleys are widely used in coal mines, power plants, ports, and quarries where reliability is non-negotiable.

    • Superior Grip (Lagging Technology):
      • Diamond Rubber Lagging: We use high-grade flame-retardant rubber with a diamond pattern for water shedding and increased friction coefficient.
      • Ceramic Lagging: For extreme conditions, we offer ceramic lagging embedded in rubber, providing 3-5 times the service life of standard rubber and zero slippage.
      • Process: All lagging is Hot Vulcanized (not cold bonded) to the shell ensuring a permanent bond that won’t peel off under high load.
    • High-Strength Shafts:
      • Shafts are machined from 45# Carbon Steel or 40Cr Alloy Steel.
      • Critical Process: All drive shafts undergo Quenching and Tempering (Thermal Treatment). This is crucial for drive pulleys to handle high starting torque without snapping.
    • Secure Locking Assembly:
      • We offer both Keyed Connections (traditional) and Keyless Locking Assemblies (Z-Lock). The Keyless Locking Assembly is recommended for heavy-duty applications as it provides better centering and easier maintenance.
    • Heavy Duty Structure: Thick-walled seamless steel pipe shell ensures the pulley maintains its cylindrical shape under high belt tension.
